Reading
Our story of the week is Homes Around the World. Our focus of the week is comparing and contrasting the homes. We will also find verbs in sentences and add an -s to them.

Focus Letters
We have completed all of the letters and will begin reviewing the vowels.

High Frequency Words
We will review all of the HFW we've learned.

Math
Please continue to work on recognizing coins and their value and telling time to the hour. We will continue with subtraction.

Penmanship and Writing
We are beginning each sentence with a capital letter and ending it with the correct punctuation. We are writing in our journals everyday. Students are creating their own sentences.

Announcements and Important Dates

20th Last day for the Book Fair
A BIG thank you to all that sent money for “Coins for Books”. You sent $113.00 and I got to double that. I was able to purchase 33 books, 2 book marks, and an educational game for our classroom. I am lucky to have such a great class!

Our story of the week is On the Move! We will actually work on this story 2 days this week and three days next week.

Please continue to work on recognizing coins and their value and telling time. We will finish Chapter 13 on adding sets to 10. We will take our test on Wednesday. We will continue to practice addition for the next week or so before moving on
to subtraction.
