100th Day Celebration is Scheduled for Friday!

Friday should be the 100th day of school! We will celebrate on Friday come rain, sleet, snow, or ice!!!

I am anticipating a snow day or two or three. If we are in school on Friday we WILL still celebrate the 100th day of school. Friday is a good day for us to do that, plus with being out for a day or two or three they will be a little excited to be back at school. So why not have fun while learning and celebrating!

Please send 100 non-edible things to count and one bag of an edible item for trail mix.

Also, I have a WONDERFUL surprise up my sleeve! I'll give you a hint...It's yummy delicious!!!

Thank you for all of your help! Plus, if we are out have fun and stay safe!!!

Monday, January 19th

Please do not forget that school will be in session this Monday. Originally we were scheduled to be off for Martin Luther King, Jr. day, but we are using it as our first make-up snow day. The other two are scheduled to be made up May 18th and 19th. If you are planning a vacation the week after school was scheduled to be out you may want to rethink it. Any snow days missed from here on out will be added onto the end of the year. Thank you!

Prom Dress Extravaganza

I know that your child is in kindergarten, but he/she may have older siblings, you may have friends with older children, and there is always that relative that this might help. This is a wonderful event. I love being involved. My own daughter got to shop last year. It's always a lot of fun for a worth while cause! Here's the information you'll need.

The 2009 Prom Dress Extravaganza has been set for February 6 & 7th at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield. Last year over 50 dresses were sold and $2000 raised for the American Cancer Society.

Anyone may consign a "gently worn" formal gown for a $5 hanging fee per dress ($25 maximum). Then, if the dress sells the consignor donates 15% of the sale price to the American Cancer Society.

Drop off dates for dresses are Wednesday and Thursday, February 4 & 5, from 4:00-7:00 pm.

Shopping hours will be Friday, February 6, from 4-8 pm and Saturday, February 7, 10:00-3:00.

Pick-up dresses Monday, February 9th, 4:00-7:00 or make other arrangements.
