Reading
Our story of the week is Mayday! Mayday! Our main focus of the week is reading for information and discussing cause and effect. We are also practicing questioning sentences and how to respond to literature.
Focus Letters
X x = the sound /ks/
We will learn about x as an ending sound.

Math
Please continue to work on recognizing coins and their value. We are on time to the hour and half hour this week. Please practice time with your child. It is a very hard concept.
Penmanship and Writing
We are beginning each sentence with a capital letter and ending it with the correct punctuation. We are writing in our journals everyday. Students are creating their own sentences.
Announcements and Important Dates
March 17th All the Kindergarten Teachers will be at a meeting in Malden. Your child will have a substitute. It's St. Patrick's Day so wear green, but absolutely
NO PINCHING!
April 10th -14th No School for Easter Break
