Reading
Our story of the week is Max Takes the Train. Our main focus of the week is identifying realism verses fantasy. We are also practicing questioning sentences.

Focus Letters

We will learn about j and w as a beginning and ending sound.

High Frequency Words

Math
We will finish with Chapter 11 on money. Please work on recognizing coins and their value. We are learning about pennies, nickels, dime, and quarters. This will be a tested skill on this week's report card. Also, how many nickels and dimes can you exchange for 20 pennies. Start Chapter 12 on time to the hour.

Penmanship and Writing
We are beginning each sentence with a capital letter and ending it with the correct punctuation. We are writing in our journals everyday. Students are creating their own sentences.

Announcements and Important Dates
13th Out at 11:00 for Parent Teacher Conferences
Report cards will be sent home with your child. Sign it and return it to school on Monday. Thank you! I'm very proud of their hard work!!!
April 10th -14th No School for Easter Break
