Our story of the week is Abuela. Our main focus of the week is identifying the setting of the story and the pronoun I. We are also practicing listening to poem.

Math
We will continue with Chapter 11 on money. Please work on recognizing coins and their value. We are learning about pennies, nickels, dime, and quarters. This will be a tested skill on the report card.

Penmanship and Writing
We are beginning each sentence with a capital letter and ending it with the correct punctuation. We are writing in our journals everyday. Students are creating their own sentences.
