Important Information for the Month of February

This is taking the place of my newsletter this week.

In need of a hot shower?
For anyone interested, one female and one male locker room and showers will be open at the High School Gym until 8:00 p.m. Monday evening and from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday of this week for anyone in the community who wishes to use them.

Peanut Butter Scare
Ms. Davidson, Food Service Supervisor, and Ms. Williams, School Nurse, continually work together to monitor the Peanut Butter containing food products to ensure they are not part of the recalled peanut butter sources identified by the CDC. We are able to monitor this information on a daily basis through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the United States Centers for Disease Control and the State Health Department.

PTO Meeting
The PTO Meeting for February 2 has been canceled.

January Book-it Forms
You have until tomorrow to turn in your January book-it forms. I realize that we haven't been here for you to turn it in.

Prom Dress Extravaganza
The Prom Dress Sale is still on for this weekend at the Trinity United Methodist Church. Wednesday and Thursday you may drop off dresses from 4:00-7:00. You may shop Friday from 4:00-8:00 and Saturday from 10:00-3:00. Unsold dresses and money may be picked up Monday from 4:00-7:00. Please pass along this information to anyone that needs it. Thank you from the Bloomfield Relay for Life Team!

Progress Reports
Due to snow days Progress Reports will not be sent home this week.

100th Day Celebration
We hope to be here all week. If so, Thursday will be the 100th day of school. We are going to celebrate on the 101st day of school. Be sure to bring your items on Friday.

911 Presentation
Stoddard County 911 is set to visit our school on February 13. Please continue to learn your address (Not your P. O. Box) and your phone number. We want to show them that we know our stuff!

February 13th
Our Valentine's Celebration! You must bring one Valentine Card for each child in our class and your homemade Valentine Box. You are welcome to bring a treat for the party, but not required to.

February 16th
We are unsure at this time whether or not we will be out on President's Day. It may have to be used as a make-up day. I will let you know as soon as I hear something.

10 Pins for Ben
This has nothing to do with school, but I think it is a very worthy cause and I just wanted to pass along the information. This is a charity event sponsored by 18 FORE Life to be held at Dexter Bowl, February 21st. All the proceeds will go to St. Judes Children's Hospital. It is my understanding that children will get to bowl from 12:30-2:30 for a donation to the foundation. You determine the size of the donation.

Read to Succeed
Your Read to Succeed 6 hour Reading Log is due in on February 27th. This is for your FREE Six Flags Ticket. No late logs will be accepted.

February Book-it Forms
Your February book-it is due in by the 27th. You may use the same books logged for Read to Succeed.
